Talks: AHMM Architect

I recently had the honour of speaking at the award-winning architecture firm, Allford Hall Monaghan Morris I AHMM!

After AHMM saw my landmark mural on the EQ Building, they invited me to their Bristol office to present the project and discuss how mural art intersects with architectural design.

During a 45-minute presentation to 30 team members, I took them on a journey through my creative process, discussing the unique challenges and rewards of large-scale work. I also explored the design touchstones and influences that shape my art, how I respond to and collaborate with the architecture of each space, and my dreams and aspirations for the future.

AHMM’s history of collaborating with some of my favourite artists, such as Morag Myerscough, plus iconic spaces like the Barbican and Liverpool’s Royal Court Theatre, made the experience even more significant for me.

I was also very excited by their Bristol office’s contemporary design, which provided a perfect backdrop for the talk!

Being invited to speak felt like an important step forward in my career, and it deepened my enthusiasm for future collaborations with architects and interior designers. The blending of creative minds and diverse skills offers a perfect foundation for pushing artistic boundaries and crafting vibrant partnerships, and I’m excited for more of this in my future!

I’m always happy to do talks, presentations, and share my creative journey with others. If you’d like to get in touch, please reach out at hello@mollyhawkins.co.uk!
