Molly Hawkins is a multidisciplinary artist and designer who turns everyday spaces into places of connection, colour and joy. Her signature bold and colourful cut-out shapes and patterns bring a playful sense of optimism to the public realm. In 2019, Molly was a recipient of the prestigious Abbey Harris Mural Fund, previously awarded to renowned artist Bridget Riley.
Based in Hastings, Molly creates large-scale public art across the UK and internationally, from Europe to Latin America. With a background in theatre design, her practice spans murals, installations and painted basketball courts, alongside sculpture, textiles and interior design.
Working with paper-cut collage, Molly explores stories, shapes and rhythm through a tactile and intuitive process. Fascinated by the energy of colour, she uses shapes and layered compositions to create a sense of movement and play.
Molly is passionate about making art accessible and bringing communities together. For over a decade, she has facilitated co-design sessions and hands-on workshops, using creative collaboration to build connection, encourage participation and foster a shared sense of belonging.
