Molly Hawkins is an artist, designer and muralist who turns everyday spaces into places of connection, colour and joy. With collage at the heart of her process, her bold cut-outs and layered compositions bring movement and optimism to streets, schools and public spaces across the UK and beyond.
Born in Sheffield, with creative roots in Bristol, hastings and Berlin, Molly’s practice grew from a childhood of storytelling, travel and making. Trained in theatre design, she has spent the past decade creating vibrant large-scale public works, from murals and installations to painted basketball courts, in the UK and as far as Mexico, Colombia and across Europe.
Molly works with collage at the heart of her process, using it as a tactile and intuitive way to explore stories, shapes and rhythm through hands-on making. Her style is bold, colourful and full of energy, with playful cut-out shapes and layered compositions bringing movement, positivity and joy to every space she works in.
Fascinated by the energy of colour and inspired by natural forms, Molly believes in the power of creative collaboration to build connection and inspire optimism. Her artistic approach is centred around community, ensuring each piece reflects local stories, voices and identities. From co-design sessions to hands-on workshops, she is dedicated to making art accessible and creating space for meaningful participation. Her work invites interaction, pride and a shared sense of belonging.
