shutter murals, Norbury

In 2026, Molly worked with Croydon Council as lead artist on a series of hand‑painted shop‑shutter artworks in Norbury, collaborating with East, an award‑winning architecture practice, to reflect the identity of Green Lane and St Helen’s Road.

She developed concepts, engaged the community and delivered bold, place‑specific designs drawn from local stories and site research. To inform the visuals, Molly ran collage workshops at Norbury Library and led a workshop and talk at Croydon College, co‑creating ideas with students.

The artworks aim to strengthen the streetscape and sense of place, exploring connectivity, character and culture while embedding local voices in the final designs. The commission sits within the UK Shared Prosperity Fund regeneration programme, funded by the Greater London Authority (GLA), under the Communities and Places investment priority.
