Bloom Building
Youth Support Facilities, Liverpool
Bloom Building is a pioneering space that links culture, community, social action and mental health, using creativity to drive wellbeing and social value.
Commissioned to transform the venue, Molly Hawkins created vibrant interior and exterior murals with artist Snock, shaping an inviting, safe setting for workshops, events and support services.
Inside Bloom, the Open Door Centre supports 15–30-year-olds with “Bazaar – A Marketplace for the Mind,” alongside music, arts activities and volunteering. Molly has repeatedly collaborated with Open Door Charity on book designs, billboards and exhibitions.
Using the charity’s brand colours, Molly’s large-scale, pattern-led murals energise the space and foster connection and healing.
With £3.8m in capital funding, including £174k pre-development from the Towns Fund, Bloom will progress new projects, renovating a building into Joy. Molly will act as visual design consultant for Joy, leading public art and interior design.
